Regaly Privacy Policy

Regaly is an independent app made by a single developer (Angelica). This page explains what information Regaly collects, why, and how it's handled.

Who we are

Regaly is developed by Angelica Taccadughetti. Questions about this policy or your data can be sent to angelicataccadughetti@gmail.com.

No accounts, no passwords

Regaly doesn't ask you to sign up, log in, or hand over an email address or password. Instead, it uses a private, anonymous identifier generated from the iCloud account already signed in on your device (via Apple's CloudKit) to keep your data in sync across your own devices and to identify your subscription. Regaly never receives your Apple ID, your name, or your email through this process.

Information we collect

• The people and occasions you add, names, relationships, interests, important dates, and gift notes you enter. This content lives in your own private iCloud account via CloudKit; Regaly's own servers do not permanently store it.
• Gift suggestion requests, when you ask for AI gift ideas, the relevant details for that person (e.g. interests, age range, budget, occasion) are sent to our backend, which calls OpenAI to generate suggestions and a real-time image search API to find a matching product image. These requests carry your anonymous device identifier, never your name or Apple ID.
• Subscription and purchase status, handled by Apple's App Store and our subscription platform, RevenueCat. Regaly never sees or stores your payment card details; those stay with Apple.

Regaly does not use advertising SDKs or ad-tracking networks, and does not sell your data.

How this information is used

Solely to provide the app's features: syncing your data across your devices, generating the gift suggestions you ask for, and managing your subscription and credits. Content sent to generate a suggestion is used only to produce that suggestion, it is not used to train AI models.

Who we share it with

Only the services needed to run the app, each limited to what its function requires: Apple (CloudKit sync, StoreKit purchases), RevenueCat (subscription and credit management), OpenAI (generating gift suggestion text), and a product-image search provider (for product/venue photos only, no personal or profile data is sent, only gift-idea search terms). None of them are authorized to use your data for their own purposes.

How long we keep it

Content you add stays in your own iCloud account until you delete it or delete the app. Deleting your account from Regaly's Settings removes your Regaly-linked subscription identity going forward.

Your choices

You can delete any person, occasion, or note at any time in the app. You can delete your account entirely from Settings → Delete Account. Because your content lives in your own iCloud account, you're always in control of it independent of Regaly.

Children

Regaly is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, note it in the app.
